I remember one of the first taco crawls I did with MSG: our last stop of the evening was this great Yucatecan taco truck parked outside of the sugar shack. Suffice to say, it helps to know the difference between pinocha and panucho. One will get you great pan-fried open-face taco. The other will get you a slap in the face (or some other unintended result!)
The only other blogger I've seen even talk about La Estacion is GuiltyCarnivore, but that was try out the tacos. He did notice the other stuff on the board, and I gotta say that the best things here are actually the Yucatecan stuff, namely the small panuchos or the larger huaraches.
Both serve as perfect vehicles for their cochinita pibil and pollo pibil, slow roasted to perfection. The first time I showed up there a little close to noon, they didn't have them yet. That makes sense, as it requires time to slowly roast. But if you show up by 3pm or 4pm, they should both be ready to order on the menu.
There's both a storefront attached to the Sugar Shack as well as the taco truck just on the other side of the parking lot. I feel more comfortable at a truck, but the shop itself is a trip and a half, as GuiltyCarnivore's posts show.

Good effort, but the pictures don't do the dishes any justice. Doesn't look really appealing.

Re: pictures, yeah I'm kinda with you on that. I did what I could. I suppose my close-up style doesn't translate well to panuchos and huaraches which are, by definition, a tad bit messy.
